Heartstrings single

Review:

Ahhh Heartstrings, this song is the latest single from the new album and it's a ripper.   A little more commercial than the other songs, but then again singles are meant to be.  The film clip is pretty good as well. It seems to have a big train and travel influence, as does the rest of the album.

One thing I noticed about the film clip is that it looks like it has been edited using a non-linear editing system (i.e. a computer based system).  There are some pretty cool yet very discrete effects used and it meshes very well with the music.

As I listen to it now the big thing I notice when it is played loud the the very strong base notes backing up the keyboard playing. Very good stuff. I really should listen to the whole album again with my AKG headphones. If you want to listen to good music like this you have to invest in some good AKG headphones, they don't sacrifice the bass at all.

The other re-mixes on the album are pretty good but this is one of the few singles that is just the same song four times. In some ways this is a bad thing but if they are different enough I can cope with it.  Each of the re-mixes has the essence of Heartstrings but do divert a bit to make the single very listenable.

Oh the video clip of Heartstrings is available from the Boo Boo & Mace section of Shock's WWW site.
